This page shows information for the various Train Operating Companies (TOCs) covered in the East Midlands area. There may also be news of other TOCs which cover the EMT network when it's appropriate. Please click the logos to be taken to the stated operator's website

 

EMT provide express services from London to the East Midlands and the North, and regional trains on local routes in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, as well as the busy West-East Liverpool-Norwich corridor.

XC operate mainly express non-London services across a huge area of Great Britain. Their network extends from Aberdeen to Penzance, with important cities such as Glasgow, Edinburgh, York, Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham, Bristol and Exeter. They also operate semi-fast services from Birmingham to Stansted Airport and from Nottingham to Cardiff Central.

 

Northern provide regional services across the majority of the North of England. The tip of the north end of the network is not far from the Scottish border at Chathill, and their most southern served station is Nottingham. They are easy to find on most lines in between.

 

NXEC operate express traffic from London Kings Cross to Scotland, Newcastle, Leeds, as well as some services to Bradford, Harrogate, Hull and Skipton.

 

Hull Trains are an open-access operator running from London Kings Cross to Hull via Grantham.

FTPE covers a rather wide area from Scotland down to Sheffield and Cleethorpes. They are seen as both a regional and express operator.
